With a background in music, film studies at UC Berkeley, and art studies in Paris through Columbia University, her diverse experiences enrich her storytelling with a blend of cultural and cinematic influences.
Her global film work spans commercial and film sets in the Bay Area, Seattle, and LA, and is highlighted by her time in Nepal, where she documented the design of environmentally sustainable housing for earthquake survivors.
Sheila recently was accepted into Correlación Contemporánea as one of ten Artists in Residence, where she spent the residency researching and painting in the Amazon rainforest of Iquitos, Peru in May 2025.
A marathon runner and competitive boxer for nearly a decade, Sheila brings a unique perspective on endurance to her art, adding to her creative exploration of human strength, adaptation, and the beauty found in overcoming adversity.
